Plagues during BABYLONIAN PERIOD.

Just to back track for a moment. I did find a mention of PLAGUES during the BABYLONIAN period. However, it is mentioned as a punishment for those that DID NOT submit to the KING of BABYLON:

JEREMIAH 27: 13 Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, famine and pestilence, as the LORD has spoken to that nation which will not serve the king of Babylon? 14“So do not listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, ‘You will not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they prophesy a lie to you; 15for I have not sent them,” declares the LORD, “but they prophesy falsely in My name, in order that I may drive you out and that you may perish, you and the prophets who prophesy to you.”

What I have always found interesting is that AT THAT TIME, Israel was to STAY in BABYLON and serve the king, build houses and till the ground.

JEREMIAH 29: 5  Build ye houses, and dwell [in them]; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;
6. Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.

However in the END TIME BABYLON we are command to COME OUT OF HER:

REV 18:  4, 5
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
