Today we will see if parts of ISAIAH 13 and 14 and see if it has any correlations to
REVELATIONS:
Is 13: 4 The noise of
a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms
of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the
battle.
Is 13: 6 They come from a far country, from the end of
heaven, [even] the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the
whole land.
13: 9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with
wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the
sinners thereof out of it.
13: 10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof
shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and
the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
13: 15 Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every
one that is joined [unto them] shall fall by the sword.
Is 13: 17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which
shall not regard silver; and [as for] gold, they shall not delight in it.
13: 18 Their] bows also shall dash the young men to pieces;
and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare
children.
13: 19 And Babylon, the glory of
kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God
overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
I highlighted some important details in these above
scriptures that may be important to discuss.
Isaiah is prophesying the "DOOM of BABYLON". According to verse 17 the LORD is
sending the MEDES against them. That did happen in Isaiah’s day
Allow me to include the notes in my bible:
13: 6-18 Isaiah’s reference to the “Day of the LORD” is both
immediate and scatological. The destruction that he has immediately in view
is the fall of Babylon
in 539 BC. But he also saw the ultimate fall of “BABYLON” in the last days REV 14:18) The
Medes are named in advance in verse 17 (as Cyrus in chs 44, 45) since they rose
to power before the Persians.
It is no doubt difficult to discover which part of these
prophecies are determine for the END TIME BABYLON
and the BABYLON Empire of the OLD TESTAMENT. However, there are similarities in the DESTRUCTION, Especially
during the TRUMPETS and Vials
- Is 13: 4 the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle
REV 20: 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall
overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are
with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful.
- Is 13: 9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh
The reference to “the day of the LORD”
- Is 13: 10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
REV 6: 12 And I beheld when he had
opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun
became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
REV 6: 13 And the stars of heaven
fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is
shaken of a mighty wind.
REV 8: 12 And the fourth angel
sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the
moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was
darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
- Is 13: 15 Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined [unto them] shall fall by the sword.
(note I only use this verse to establish that
anyone that is JOINED with them shall also fall by the sword.)
- Is 13: 19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
REV 16: 19 And the great city was divided into
three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in
remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the
fierceness of his wrath.
The question now
becomes, has this PROPHECY already happen to its fulfillment or is ISAIAH also speaking of a NEAR FAR prophecy, a future END TIME EVENT of
the DESTRUCTION of BABYLON.

LET US NOW EXAMINE ISAIAH 14
ISAIAH 14: 3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD
shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard
bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
14: 4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king
of Babylon, and
say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
NOTE: IS 14: 4 the GOLDEN CITY
that ceased. Does REVELATIONS also speak of a Future CITY of BABYLON, filled
with wealth and merchandise, and how it is the oppressor?
JUST a HINT HERE: IF you have an EMPIRE, YOU HAVE A KING, IF you have an EMPIRE, you also have a CENTRAL LOCATION of ECONOMICS and POWER.
REV 18; 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the
wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication
with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
REV 18: 16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was
clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and
precious stones, and pearls!
REV 18: 17 For in one hour so great riches is come to
nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as
many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
ISAIAH 14: 5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, [and]
the sceptre of the rulers.
14: 7 The whole earth is at rest, [and] is quiet: they break
forth into singing.
VERY INTERESTING correlation here between Lucifer and OLD BABYLONIAN EMPIRE and the END TIME BABYLON
EMPIRE:
14: 9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet [thee] at
thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, [even] all the chief ones of the
earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the
kings of the nations.
14: 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of
the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which
didst weaken the nations!
14: 13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into
heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:
I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be
like the most High.
Admonishment: continuing reading on your own.
14:22 For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of
hosts, and cut off from Babylon
the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.
14: 24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I
have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, [so] shall it
stand:
14: 27 For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall
disannul [it]? and his hand [is] stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
The LORD and HIS WORD IS CERTAIN AMEN!!!
LET us STAND FIRM and HOLD to the FAITH that OUR LORD is LORD OF LORDS and KING OF KINGS
YES, for a time BABYLON
will succeed for it is PURPOSED in the HEART of the LORD, but only to find its
DOOM in the end.
THE LORD will RISE up against them in the end, and cut them
off, bring complete desolation and destruction to BABYLON.
JESUS CHRIST WILL BE KING and LORD forever and ever. AMEN.
