FROM GLORY TO GLORY..!!!!
I have been on a journey of
knowing MY LORD more intimately than I ever have before these days.
I think it is important to
keep in mind:
That the TRUE agenda of the
LORD is to TRANSFORM and CONFORM us into HIS IMAGE.
HE IS A JEALOUS GOD.
( SEE post “HE is a jealous GOD, for HIS NAME SAKE”)
We are to be examples of HIS
CHARACTER, a PEOPLE that are SET APART/HOLY. HEAVENLY MINDED, salt and light to the world.
AND THIS IS A
FACT:
You simply can not KNOW your
LORD and SAVIOR, or be conform to HIS IMAGE, unless you LEARN OF HIM AND SPEND INTIMATE TIME
with HIM.
He promises to be meek and
lowly. He has mercy and grace for our ignorance, but HE also knows when we are
simply hiding behind our own “fig leaf of Adam” seeking to cover our own shame.
I am seeking a deeper understanding of the
ONE that I CLAIM to LOVE and OBEY.
I hope you will join me on
this journey?
The first question
I like to ask you is:
WHERE ARE YOU
SPENDING MOST OF YOUR TIME???
1 Cr 15: 33 Be not deceived: evil
communications corrupt good manners
1 Cr 15: 34 Awake to righteousness, and sin
not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak [this] to your shame.
The WORLD is truly becoming
more progressively WICKED.
People seem to have become
progressive worse in their desires, selfishness, and coveting.
The ABOMINATIONS are rapidly
spreading throughout our land.
AM I CONCERNED? Yes, I think we would be fools not to be.
What influences this world,
will “SEEK” to influence and tempt our flesh,
our thinking, our decisions, our life style and the life of our family.
We are far more
weak than we acknowledge:
Here are some most resent random
thoughts I have had:
1. The movies, the tvs, the
cell phones, keep people so entertained, they do not have a moment to find
themselves alone in the presences of THE LORD.
2. It seems many people have
a lot to say, and yet no one is SITTING STILL before the LORD, seeking HIS
COUNSEL on the matters of faith or obedience.
3. We have become a
STIFFNECKED PEOPLE in our own right:
4. We don’t want to hear, we
don’t want our eyes opened to truth, because it requires HOLY SACRIFICE in our
lives.
AS THE BODY OF
CHRIST, HOW MUCH OF OUR THINKING and LIVES are being influenced by the things
that have become acceptable in this society?
You can count on it, if the
LORD doesn’t return first, three or less years from now.
Homosexuality will
become the NORM, acceptable in our
society: The cradle is being influenced by it even now. The ones in the cradle
now, will eventually LEAD the WORLD.
Even now you can see it influencing
the minds of the younger generation:
In tv shows, movies, text books and even comfort reading etc.
You can't seem to even pick up a book today without finding homosexuality being the NORMAL BEHAVIOR in one of the characters.
AS BAD as that seems to be, the REALITY of it is, I am most concerned with what INFLUENCES are in my own life that I have accepted as NORMAL that are not pleasing to GOD?
FINDING WAYS to JUDGE THEIR LIFESTYLE, doesn't JUSTIFY my lifestyle or make it any more PLEASING to the LORD.
I have to ask the QUESTION:
How much of my thinking and
lifestyle has been influenced by past generations?
Are there things in my lifestyle that are not pleasing
to the LORD, things that have not HONORED HIM, HIS WAYS HIS PRECEPTS?
HAVE I ENTERED INTO HIS REST ?? Am I walking in harmony with the LORD and the SPIRIT?
Do I really KNOW HIM and HIS
WAYS?
HEB 3: 10 Wherefore I was
grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway
err in [their] heart; and they have not
known my ways.
BASICALLY we are
saying to GOD:
“GOD we are going
to live our way, and demand that you bless it”
“We want you to conform
to OUR IMAGE, and we will be satisfied”
WE must evaluate OUR own
Behaviorism before the LORD, that truly have had NOTHING to do with the LORD,
HIS precepts and HIS principles.
How many of these things do I
NEED to CAST OFF, in order to truly considered SET APART/HOLY before HIM?
What better way to deal with
these things than to FEED our souls and spirit with GOD’S WORD, that we can CAST DOWN the IMAGINATION that exalt itself above the KNOWLEDGE of JESUS CHRIST, BRINGING
into captivity every THOUGHT to the obedience of
JESUS CHRIST.
ROMANS 8: 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye
shall die: but if ye through theSpirit do mortify the deeds
of the body, ye shall live.
The POWER IS NOT IN THE
QUESTION.
But the POWER IS IN THE ANSWER.. FOR WHAT IS OF GOD IS EMPOWERED BY
THE HOLY SPIRIT to MORTIFY the deeds of the BODY.
2 Cr 10: 5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth
itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity
every thought to the obedience of Christ;
1 Cr 15: 57 But
thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through
our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 CR 15: 58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye
know that your labour is not
in vain in the Lord
WHAT we FEED INTO OUR SOUL and
SPIRIT, will influence our lives, our thinking, and our behavior.
You can count
on it.
LET us begin a NEW JOURNEY of
CASTING off the imaginations that have held us captive.
THIS IS MY
PRAYER for MYSELF, and I only hope you will pray it into your life as well!!!
“ LORD please give me the GRACE and
STRENGTH to HUMBLE myself before YOU, prepare me to forsake my traditions,that are not of YOU, repent and SEEK YOU with a pure hearts
that is prepared to be submissive and obedient
to YOUR WORD and YOUR SPIRIT”
I am going to offer you a few
scriptures of THE WORD OF GOD THAT “WE” can MEDITATE UPON THIS WEEK
1 COR 28: 9 And
thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect
heart and with a
willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all
hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts:
if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he
will cast thee off for ever.
EX 20: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor
serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous
God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the
third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;
EX 20: 6 And shewing mercy
unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
EX 23: 7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the
innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I
will not justify the wicked.
The FAVOR of GOD
is based upon the RIGHTEOUS and JUST ACTION that we do IN HIS NAME.
